AERA
UNRIDDEN COMPANION pathway
Support your horse’s physical and emotional wellbeing—no riding required.

The way we keep horses is changing. Once seen primarily as working or sporting partners, horses are now more often cherished as companions, emotional support animals, and lifelong friends.
Many are no longer ridden—by choice or necessity—but that doesn’t mean their learning or growth has to stop.

Whether your horse is retired, too young to be ridden, recovering from injury, or simply better suited to life without a saddle, this pathway is designed to honour their needs and nurture your bond with them.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Over the years, I’ve supported many horses through breaks in ridden work. And during a season of my own injury, one of my horses became my unridden companion—offering me the chance to explore and deepen my connection with him in new, meaningful ways. That experience shaped the rich, varied work I now offer to others.
