How online coaching works
Coaching takes place through live video calls, supported by shared video analysis, reflection, and practical tasks.
Sessions can also be taken in real life via technology like Pivo if preferred.
Sessions are structured to:
-
slow things down
-
build clarity and understanding
-
develop your ability to observe, problem-solve, and adapt
Many riders are surprised by how effective online coaching can be — especially for developing awareness, timing, and thoughtful decision-making.
AERA ONLINE
Thoughtful, one-to-one coaching — delivered online
AERA Online Coaching offers the same values-led, reflective approach as in-person Pathways, delivered through live one-to-one online sessions.
This is not a generic course or pre-recorded programme.
It’s a personalised coaching relationship, shaped around you, your horse, and your real-life circumstances.
Online coaching is ideal if:
-
you don’t have access to in-person support
-
you live outside my travel area
-
you prefer time to reflect and think between sessions
-
you want to develop independence and confidence in your own training decisions

enjoy reflecting and thinking deeply

want to build independence rather than rely on constant instruction

are committed to learning, even without in-person contact

If you’re unsure whether online coaching is right for you, you’re very welcome to get in touch with a question.

I'm just finishing my first month of the 3-month online coaching programme with Wiola, and I’m already seeing such a shift — not just in Jasper, but in myself.
The weekly calls give me the structure and accountability I’d been missing, and Wiola’s video feedback is incredibly thoughtful and detailed.
Her insights have helped me understand how my posture, energy, and timing affect everything I do with my horse.
At first, figuring out how to film my sessions felt like a hurdle, but with a few simple tweaks, it’s now become second nature — and a part of how I reflect and learn.
We’ve been focusing on groundwork and relationship-building as I bring Jasper gently back into work, and I’m learning to notice the smallest cues and communicate with more clarity and intention.
This programme is helping me organise my training, stay motivated, and build a true partnership — not just work through exercises. If you're on the fence about online coaching, I can’t recommend this experience highly enough!
