Terms and Conditions of Lesson Bookings
1. Booking and Payment
- Lessons must be booked in advance to secure your spot.
- Payment is required at the time of booking (for pay-as-you-go lessons or bundles) or as part of your membership.
- Payments can be made via bank transfer or online payment. If you’d prefer to pay in cash, please discuss this with me in person beforehand.
2. Cancellation Policy
- Life happens, and I understand plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know at least 48 hours before your lesson.
Pay-as-you-go lessons:
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of your lesson will incur the full lesson fee.
Lesson Bundles & Memberships:
- You can reschedule your lessons up until 8 p.m. the evening before your lesson.
- Cancellations made on the day of the lesson will incur the full lesson fee.
If there’s an emergency or exceptional circumstance, just reach out—I’ll always do my best to accommodate.
3. Running Late – Me or You
- Sometimes I might run a little late because I work hard to finish each session on a positive note, and this doesn’t always fit neatly on the clock. I’m also dependent on traffic between yards. If I’m delayed, I’ll let you know as soon as possible.
- If my delay doesn’t suit your schedule, you’re welcome to request a refund (for pay-as-you-go clients) or reschedule the session (for membership or bundle clients).
- If you’re running late and I don’t have another lesson immediately after, we’ll carry on as usual for the full session. However, if I have another booking, your lesson will still end at the scheduled time so as not to affect others. I’ll always do my best to make the most of the time we have.
4. Refunds and Credits
- Missed lessons are non-refundable unless canceled within the required notice period.
- Pre-paid lesson bundles or memberships are designed for flexibility. Credits for unused lessons may be carried forward for a short time—please reach out to discuss your specific situation.
- Refunds for unused lessons in a bundle or membership are not available, but I’ll always work with you to help you make the most of your package.
5. Weather and Unforeseen Circumstances
- Lessons usually run in all weather unless it’s unsafe for horse or rider (e.g., extreme heat or storms). Practical lessons can be switched to theory sessions if preferred.
- If I need to cancel due to weather or an unforeseen situation, I’ll work with you to reschedule at a time that suits you.
6. Safety and Equipment
- Your safety and your horse’s comfort are my top priorities. Please ensure you’re wearing a properly fitted riding helmet, gloves, and appropriate footwear.
- Your horse should be safely tacked up and ready for the session. If you’re unsure about equipment, let me know, and I’ll guide you.
- If your horse has any known behavioural issues or medical conditions, please let me know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
7. Lesson Bundles and Memberships
- Bundles and memberships offer flexibility and value, with lessons designed to help you and your horse make consistent progress.
- Please use lessons within the specified time frame (refer to your specific service details). If something unexpected comes up, let’s talk about your options.
- Bundles and memberships are non-refundable but can be adjusted within reason to fit your circumstances.
8. Respect and Enjoyment
- I strive to create a supportive, kind, and enjoyable learning environment. I ask that riders treat me, fellow participants, and horses with respect and patience.
- If there’s ever an issue or concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to help!
9. Communication
- Please use WhatsApp, text, or email for all bookings, cancellations, and questions.
- I aim to respond to all messages as soon as possible and always within 24 hours. If it’s urgent, feel free to give me a gentle nudge!
10. Changes to Terms
- These Terms and Conditions are reviewed regularly to ensure they’re fair and effective. I’ll notify you in advance of any updates or changes.
